Our History
Available as a powder mix since 1976, Country Time Lemonade first hit the market in cans and bottles in 1982. A&W Beverages, Inc. acquired a license to make the bottled and canned ready to drink product from Kraft Foods in 1981. Kraft still makes and markets the powder mix.
In 1995, Country Time Pink Lemonade was added to the lineup in several markets. In early 2003, Country Time expanded its portfolio again to include Country Time Iced Tea with Lemon, a classic summer beverage with a lemon twist. In May 2004,
Country Time Strawberry Lemonade became a favorite with the perfect blend of sweet, sun-ripened strawberries and lemonade. In March 2005, the brand added Country Time Light Lemonade to its offerings
Cadbury Beverages, Inc. acquired A&W Brands, Inc., including Country Time, in 1993. Today, the license is part of Plano, Texas-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group, an integrated refreshment beverage business marketing more than 50 beverage brands throughout North America.
