DPS is focused on helping consumers make informed choices to balance calories in and calories out.
Our goal is to help families achieve that balance by providing the tools, places and inspiration to make physical activity a daily priority. We are helping kids have a place to play through Let's Play alongside our partnership with KaBOOM!. We are giving kids the tools for play through our relationship with Good Sports.
By 2017, DPS will have invested $28 million in Let's Play, impacting millions of youth-serving organizations across the U.S., as well as Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
KaBOOM! is a national non-profit organization dedicated to saving play. With its innovative community-build model, KaBOOM! is focused ongiving every child in America a great place to play within walking distance. In 2011, Dr Pepper Snapple launched Let's Play with a $15 million commitment to KaBOOM! to build or improve 2,000 playgrounds. In 2014, Dr Pepper Snapple and KaBOOM! extended their partnership through the end of this year with an additional $10 million commitment from DPS to continue providing kids with the active play they need.
The Good Sports mission is to give all kids the lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing new equipment, apparel and footwear to those most in need. Since 2014, Dr Pepper Snapple has committed $3 million to Good Sports to provide athletic gear, footwear and sports equipment to child-serving community organizations, extending the benefits of Let's Play to older kids who participate in organized sports.
