WE AIM TO HELP FOSTER PHYSICALLY ACTIVE, ENGAGED AND SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES THROUGH VOLUNTEERING AND LOCAL SPONSORSHIPS.
We want to make an impact on the communities where our employees, customers and consumers live and work. Our employees donate their time all year to nonprofit organizations, and volunteering is central to our United Way campaign.
Since 2008 we have raised and donated $17 million to United Way helping improve education, financial stability and health for individuals and communities. Through our 2016 annual giving campaign, DPS fundraised nearly $3.2 million and completed 81 ACTION Nation Month (ANM) volunteer grant projects in support of the nonprofit. ANM encourages employees at a DPS site to collectively contribute 50 volunteer hours to a nonprofit organization of their choice and earn a $1,000 grant for United Way.
In 2016, DPS committed to a three-year, $1 million national sponsorship of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA)’s Alumni & Friends Club. The Club is a global network of former club members and supporters of Boys & Girls Clubs who aspire to stay connected, network with fellow alumni and give back to kids who need it most. Our partnership will help launch a new “Stay Connected” campaign to support and engage Club alumni who recently graduated from high school.
